"I grew up with a camera in my hand. Filmmaking is the only language I have ever truly known. In life I have met with successes and failures, as everyone has, but this film 'is' and will not be a success or a failure. It simply will 'be', just as one 'knows' that they are in love. This film is above the human concepts of success and failure. In my opinion, this film is a spiritual step in mankind's evolution to the stars...to God...to the next dimension....whatever you may call it. The only question left is......what name will you choose?"
Project Overview
'The Transformation' is a documentary film series which chronicles the life of a human being from birth to death. Out of respect for the great filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, who largely originated & inspired this idea, along with the need to convey this unique vision, Joseph McConnell lives and documents his life in the truest way possible.
Jaded by the onslaught of reality television shows which are more fiction than reality, Joseph embraced the fact that it was time for humanity to view and absorb something compassionate, intelligent, real and honest that everyone could relate to. It is his intention to educate & entertain all those who watch these films. The first installment in the series is 'The Life and Times of The Star Children' which has already secured festival screenings in Ireland, Britain, Canada, Egypt, Thailand, South Africa & Rome.
